Its capabilities are the following

Extra capabilities
Specifying the relationship with External Id fiels
Unlimited Roll-Up Summary do not need lookup- or master-detail relationships between the objects. You can set up the Roll-Up Summary with External Id fields.
Limitations
- There are a few Operations That Don’t Invoke Triggers. In those standard objects and operations, tracking field changing is not possible.
- Mass record change can hit the governor limits.
